Eine Benzinpumpe ist ein Kraftfahrzeugbauteil, das Flüssigkeit vom Kraftstofftank zum Vergaser oder zur Einspritzdüse des Verbrennungsmotors befördert. Bei Vergasermotoren werden häufig mechanische Niederdruckpumpen verwendet, die außerhalb des Kraftstofftanks montiert sind, während bei Motoren mit Kraftstoffeinspritzung häufig elektrische Kraftstoffpumpen verwendet werden, die im Kraftstofftank montiert sind. Der Ausfall einer Kraftstoffpumpe kann durch elektrische Fehler, Alter (Verschleiß) oder Kraftstoffverschmutzung (Schmutz, Feuchtigkeit oder schlechtes Gas) verursacht werden. Ausfälle von Kraftstoffpumpen treten oft ohne Vorwarnung auf.
